JETOUR Premium SUVs from United Motors will be available in Pakistan
The local car industry after shocked by recession factors such as restrictions on imports, production freeze and low sales is rebounding in style. It is equally important to note that this year has brought several new cars to Tanzania; this include the Haval Jolion HEV and the MG HS 2. 0 Turbo. Hitting the electric vehicle market, the new entrants include the Honri Ve, GiGi Mini EV, and Hyundai IONIQ 6.
Upcoming Launches
Out of the new entrants, one of them United Motors is in process to launch “JETOUR” in the market of Pakistan. Jetour is an automobile company which is a sub-brand under Chery Automobile Co. , Ltd which has its market in China which was founded in the year 2018 and is mainly involved in the manufacturing of suv and crossover models of cars. United Motors intends to bring to market two specifications of Jetour crossover SUVs, namely the Dashing and the X70 Plus.
Initial data point to the fact that both models will be produced locally in the completely knock down or CKD method and will use a 1. 5-liter turbocharged petrol engine. The Dashing variant is targeted at being a 5-seater SUV while on the other hand, the X70 Plus will be a 7-seater SUV.

Some of the Jetour models include the Jetour Dashing a well as Jetour X70 Plus. United Motors should introduce these two models to the market in January 2025. In the past, the company has ventured with budgetish hatchbacks such as the “bravo” and “alpha” models, which received a hot burial in the market by customers complaining of wrong issues like poor resale value, low quality of production, or lack of available spare parts. However there is hope that as stokes for a premium Chinese brand United Motors will have better success in the near future.

New models are also expected to be launched by Kia Lucky Motors; there are social speculations as to what the new models will contain, and that it may contain electric vehicles. At the same time, it seems that the Hyundai Nishat company might also be gearing up for its entry into the hybrid car market, probably in the near future since the Hyundai Elantra 7th Generation Hybrid has been recently sighted in Pakistan. Credible sources have suggested that Lucky Motor Corporation may launch Kia’s new range of EVs in 2024; however, the exact car has not been identified.
