Changan Alsvin Black Edition vs. Changan Alsvin Lumiere Just for Looks
Changan just recently launched the black edition of the Alsvin where they only copious on the looks of the vehicle and did not change anything in the actual mechanics and features of the car. That new variant is priced at 25,000 PKR more than the Lumiere edition of the car.
Has the Body Changed in Any Way?
Regarding the changes of body, except the side view mirrors and the alloy wheels, there is no modification to the car body. The design of the st body is literally preserved, except the colored wheels and mirrors. Internally the immediate change noticeable is the continuity of black theme through the interior which is a departure from the earlier black edition that came with black interior trims and beige coloured seats, roof and door panels among others. Such a simple color scheme of interiors may be suitable for some clients and other clients may like the previous edition which had more colors.

In the Changan Alsvin Lumiere DCT Black Edition, the aesthetic updates include piano black shining mirrors and alloys, matte black seats and roof, and a completely matte black interior. These changes come at a premium of 25,000 PKR over the standard Lumiere DCT model, reflecting the cost of these cosmetic enhancements.
Does the Cost Make Sense?
For the price differential of 25000 PKR between the Lumiere and Black Editions, Changan has enough grounds by providing lots of exterior design modifications. Buying and fitting like modifications after the car’s purchase would probably cost more than double this price, therefore the Black Edition is quite cheap if one values those cosmetic Chang_cs018018821001 alterations.
However, all that has gone through the change is the look and feel of the car and it is necessary to mention that there are no changes for the performance characteristics of the car. The four- cylinder, five- speed manual, four- cylinder, automatic, and rims and tires do not differ between the two editions. Thus, it remains clear that if the customers have to choose the Black Edition, they should do it purely for the looks rather expecting any improvements in the car’s performance.
