The world’s largest manufacturer of New Energy Vehicles (NEVs), BYD, officially announced its position to enter the list of potential electric vehicle producers in Pakistan earlier this June, if you remember that. Well, here it is, the author’s name, now just weeks later, there is more good news to report. What do you suppose it is? If not, don’t worry! This latest update has simply taken things to an entirely new zone.
BYD (HUBCO) has imported some test units of the SEALION 6, a plug in hybrid SUV, which shows that the company is all set to venture into the Pakistani market. If these tests are successful, then the vehicle could be brought to the market soon with editions made for our complex terrains.
This update turned out to be shocking to many as there were exigent anticipations that BYD (HUBCO) would be bringing in more grounded & reasonable EVs like the Atto 3, Dolphin, Seal, Tang, & so on to Pakistan. However, the inclusion of the SEALION 6 creates a twist to the whole story in the industry.
