Best Bikes to Skip in 2024 and What to Choose Instead
Honda Pridor
For the vast majority of Pakistani consumers, Honda Pridor doesn’t make for a favorable choice. Its resale value is not just poor; it’s abysmal. Owners often face losses ranging from 20-50k PKR when selling after just 1-2 years of use. Furthermore, the quality of its cosmetic components, predominantly plastic, is subpar. The headlight visor tends to vibrate at speeds exceeding 50 Km/h, and the mudguard is prone to cracking even with minor impacts.
Additionally, replacement parts for the Pridor are exorbitantly priced, sometimes surpassing those of the CG125. Numerous users have reported serious engine defects, such as premature wear of the clutch box and piston ring, with several complaints documented in our previous blog post “Why Honda Pridor Failed.

Hi-speed Infiniti 150
Although the Infiniti 150 boasts a sleek design reminiscent of a cafe racer and comes with an attractive price tag, it falls short in practicality. Despite its aesthetic appeal and feature set, its ride quality and suspension leave much to be desired.
Priced at 400k PKR, the absence of a balancer shaft engine and excessive vibrations undermine its appeal. Furthermore, reliability concerns arise, as its self-start mechanism is prone to failure within a short span of usage. The overall build quality, including paint finish and seat comfort, fails to meet expectations. Considering these drawbacks, opting for the Yamaha YBR or similar alternatives would be a more prudent choice.

Honda CD70 Dream
The Honda CD70 Dream, while a decent motorcycle, raises questions regarding its purpose. Essentially identical to the standard CD70 in terms of engine, suspension, tires, chassis, and handlebars, it offers only superficial cosmetic changes. Despite Atlas’ attempt to justify a higher price tag for these cosmetic alterations, the lack of third-party support for replacement parts, particularly for components like the fuel tank and headlights, diminishes its appeal. Consumers would be better off sticking with the standard CD70 model.
Honda CG125S Gold Edition
The Honda CG125S Gold Edition, priced at around 300k PKR, fails to justify its premium over the standard model. While some may appreciate its golden side covers and silencer guard, the majority find the color scheme unappealing. Given its steep price tag and minimal aesthetic enhancements, opting for the regular CG125 or the Special Edition variant would be a more sensible choice.
Yamaha YBR 125Z
Yamaha’s offering of a spoked-rim variant of the YBR 125, priced at 424k PKR, fails to impress due to its unattractive tire design. While the bike shares features with other YBR variants like the DX, the inclusion of spokes-rim detracts from its overall aesthetic appeal. Consumers would be better served investing in the DX model or considering alternatives like the CB125F for a more visually appealing option. Those prioritizing comfort may find the GD110S or a slightly used YBR DX to be more suitable alternatives.
